Both sessions are best booked as early as possible. Ideally from the 2nd trimester.

Maternity photos are usually recommended from 28-34 weeks, the reason being, your bump will start to have a nice and round shape & generally bub will not have dropped down to far yet which makes your belly appear higher, and you are still comfortable to move around.

There are exceptions to this, If you are having twins or feel your belly is getting big and round earlier you could book before 30 weeks. If you’ve left it a little late to book and still want photos down towards the end of your pregnancy, please get in touch, I may be able to help!

Newborn's are best photographed between 6 - 14 days from birth. Your Newborn will be sleepy, curled up and be able to achieve the position's before becoming alert.

However I believe all stages of newborn life is worth capturing.

Each session has it’s own charm. The studio newborn session takes place in my well-equipped studio, boasting a wide array of props, wraps, outfits, and accessories to choose from. Here, we blend posed shots with natural poses, capturing those adorable, picture-perfect moments. It's best scheduled within the baby's first two weeks, when they're most flexible and sleepy, making it easier to create those heart-melting poses. As time progresses, settling the baby becomes more challenging, compounded by potential issues like baby acne and colic.

On the other hand, the newborn lifestyle session unfolds in the cosy comfort of your home, documenting the everyday interactions between you and your little one. This session leans towards capturing candid shots rather than posed ones, allowing for genuine moments to shine through. From tender scenes in the nursery to including your furry friends, I aim to preserve the authentic essence of your family life in its natural setting.

To secure your spot, a deposit is required. This deposit secures your due date (Newborn) or session date (Maternity, Family) and guarantees a spot in my calendar. Booking in advance is highly recommended due to limited availability. Please note that a 25% non-refundable (but may be transferable) retainer is due at booking, with the remaining balance (chosen photo package) due 7 days prior to the booked session.

Your newborn’s safety is my top priority during our photoshoot. I am a qualified Newborn Photographer with the Academy of Newborn Photography, and trained to handle your newborn safely and gently, and often use support aids and techniques to ensure your baby's comfort and security throughout the session.
